  • Hay quá!

  • @patrikasLTL what are you talking about? The M4 had a stabilization system!

The T-55 had 200mm LOS--it's 4in@60deg. 8in@60deg would be impossible to pierce with the L7, but yet it was repeatedly at long range in the Sinai.

The 4.3in@~65deg of armor on the M47 is slightly thicker. The turret, though is extremely well sloped, with about the same effectiveness as a T-62 turret front.

Also, the M47 was being deployed not in the 60s, but 1951, and was replaced in 1953 already with the M-48.

  • Similar armor to the T-55, a bit better range, a slightly more accurate but slightly less powerful gun...highly maneuverable, lots of slope, reliable, sophisticated, and with a good engine and tracks. Good tank.

  • Very interesting, ovbiously filmed early 1952...looks like Ft Knox. Early model M-47 with cal 50 in coax, discarded in 1953 in favor of cal 30. The bow MG NEVER used a flash hider, so this was purely a propaganda film. Gun could not be removed with the flash hider attached. The range finder was useless and 90mm ammo stowage was assinine, but the tank itself was very good, highly maneuverable and dependable, & 90mm gun was very good. NOBODY ever operates a tank wearing the steel helmet!!!

  • hmm, E series of developer may thinking how weak a MBT that US provide to them.
