WANDERLAND.

2nd animation with a plotline. this was made for the newgrounds christmas competition '09, but i made it tie in with some of the themes for my art a-level stuff. i had this in my head a while before that though.

i guess this is about growing up?

This animation is still very dear to me. After 4 years of having the need to watch Eternal Sunshine in the back of my mind, I caved in tonight. The song strikes me on a personal level, and I think I might do an animation to it as well. Thanks for being cool, and I expect you to stay cool. C :

Dude, i used this song before i'd seen the film, then i watched it and was like hey, my animation! i'm such an idiot. bloody brilliant film though. and shhhh i know, i have a storyboarded animation in the works but uni is getting in the waaaaay. get on with your animation WHILE YOU STILL CAN

I really liked this. The video feels very reflective but I couldn't feel it was positive or negative. Perhaps I've missed something subtle (I often can!) but it came across as a much more detached review of memories without indulging the temptation to express a particular feeling felt in the present about the past. The song is a bit melancholy though. Hmm... It's an interesting video.
