@Recklesssennin no my moms friend was own our porch and lightning hit her umbrella and it didn't explode . However a few years later during a tornado I was on my way down the stairs and lightning struck the porch causing the glass candles in my hand to explode and throwing me over the railing . my sister-in -law was ahead of me and it cause her zipper to burn her neck .

LOL at this video. Having been struck by lightning, this was not even close. Believe me, she would not be able to breathe if she was actually affected by it

oh my goodness.. if it hit the top of the umbrella it woulda litterally cause it to explode because of the mass buildup of energy with no where to go...if she was touching the metal it woulda went through her and burned anything from the point it entered and the point it exited...
