Thank you to all who came to the Ariwa 'Back to Africa' Festival and Excursions'.... We had a fantastic time. Thanks to 'Mad Professor' and Team who were brave enough to step forward and put this show on in Gambia and I hope you all relished the experience of 'Going Back to Your Roots', whilst taking in the sweets sounds of Reggae, Lovers Rock and Skanking to Roots n Dub Music in the hot sunshine...
I Have to Say The musicians were fantastic....Mafia & Fluxy - Now I know where the real Drum and Bass comes from LOL :-)
The festival was an action packed week of culture, entertainment, networking and education, in the form of tours, club night, live acts and concerts featuring a wealth of artists from Jamaica, The Caribbean, Europe, USA, South America, Africa as well as locally sourced talents, also a variety of Dance Showcases (salsa, raggae, calypso, African traditional and contemporary dancing), Fashion Shows (exhibiting Africa fashion attire; male, female and unisex), a Natural Beauty Contest (Extolling the virtues of natural untarnished African beauty), plus various workshops and seminars.
I hope you all enjoyed it........Until the next one....Look out for the DATES..........
