  • I had my transplant Jan 28th so its been almost 6 months now. I'm back in hospital for more than a month now with graph vs host disease problems, but should be going home this week. Dr's say its not out of the norm for these things to happen. They have me on different meds to try & clear it up so I'm just keeping the faith.

  • @KraftyKatsy Hope you are still doing well, GVH is very good as long as it is kept under control, I know Hailey fought with it for a little over a year, very dry skin and some fabrics she just could not wear. she got some dry patches on the skin and some foods really upset her stomach. it is just your body making adjustment.

  • i joined the registry today i would like to watch a video of someone donating. message me if you find any :D

  • @annfreefly that is up to the patient and the hospital, we had the get the ok of the nurses to put this on YouTube. Most hospitals do not like video of the procedures, legal things and all. but the procedure if different depending on what they need, you are a donor you can back out at anytime, just remember, if they pick you and you say yes, they will start a procedure for the patient that is not reversible. If you back out at the last minute or decide not to show up. The recipient will die.

  • please tell me that this baby lived... God bless her.

  • @Rachnliz99 YES SHE IS 8 Now ALIVE AND DOING VERY WELL!!! Cancer Free!!

  • hey unfortunately when i applied i wasnt accepted for transplant donation. i balled my eyes out!

  • I am on the bone marrow registry..I hope and pray one day I am a match!!

  • @krissysays I am 21 and I also donate blood regularly, I just found out about platelets and the advantages of donating them vs whole blood, so I think I'll just donate platelets from now on. My family does not agree with me either and I'm also a bit scared about joining the bone marrow donor registry, but reading your comment gave me more confidence.

  • I am going to donate platelets next week and I've been researching about bone marrow donation. I'm a little scared, but I think I will become a bone marrow donor. I'm already an organ donor and I also donate blood regularly (although now that I know about platelets, I will start donating platelets instead of whole blood). God bless this precious little girl!

  • I think people with a lot of money have a better chance at receiving good medical care.

  • @beachlife561 To get on the Reg just look up the Bone morrow registry. It is very easy, they use to have to take blood now it just a mouth swab.
