  • i loved it i think its soufi singing or something, great voice

  • it's not soufi but a muwashah(classical arabic singing)

  • thanks halfaouine do u remember which ma9am is it ?

  • the maqam is nahawand

  • Hi Everybody, There is more than one maqam used in this song, it starts indeed with maqam Nahawand, but the part "inni mughram.(...) 'albi sabir" is maqam Saba and "Kam

biyu3id .(...)..w'inta 3arif" is maqam Huzam. A muwashah is originally a type of (ancient) poetry, but later it became the term for a type of song that used muwashah-lyrics. Most muwashahs are ages old, but this is a modern one composed by sheikh Sayyid Darwish

  • thank you so much for the info.
