The Space Shuttle Atlantis was transported to the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday, February 7, 2007. The rollover marks the start of the journey to Launch Pad 39A. The launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis on its mission, designated STS-117, to the International Space Station is targeted for March 15.

    Only damaged tiles are replaced, that's why some of the tiles are darker than others. I bet some of them are still from her first flight.

  • Why are people bitching about how terrible it looks, I'd like to see them put something into orbit and bring it back that good looking. Every tile on that craft will be replaced before its sent up into orbit again anyway.
