what is Magic Lentern? and what is it useful for?

@bigjoet22 Its a custom firmware for some Canon DSLRs. Mainly useful for video, as it adds audio monitoring, higher bitrates and more. For photos it adds intervalometer , and some other bits which are useful: magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Lantern_Firmware_Wiki
