Ok... this is completely improvised and I had fun doing that :)

Take the lyrics with a grain of salt and an ironic ear, because I'm joking, but not really.

Hey, what are you waiting for?
Comfort and rut?
Deafness and gut?
Blindness and dusk at hand
dullness and a life pre-planned?
Try to feel love
try harder each day.
Try till it hurts and then try harder still.
Try, try till it burns,
continue until
you die with the happiness,
joy and love
seeping from within.

  • nice song. Feels like a poem. Reminds me of the Lovesong of Alfred J. Prufrock by T.S. Eliot for some reason. It probably has absolutely nothing to do with it. Felt like the voice in that poem was like yours

  • Funny thing is that my "songs" are always just poems with a little bit of harmonies/melodies added. I can't really write songs.

  • Eeeee, I only just saw this now! Sorry, we all know how youtube inboxes are lame! What's not lame however is this. Thank you for letting me inspire your song, etc. etc. It's quirky but beautiful. You're always such a darling

    xx
