Did you know that making Star Wars episode 1 in 3D cost that same amount that it took to make Episode 4, 5 & 6? Back in 1977 when starwars first came about the animation wasn't as good as it was now and most of the space scenes were stop motion so the cost of each film was quite low. And as I said the cost of all 3 of the original films added together came to about the same as making just episode 1 in 3D HD

The old podrace set I got for $60 bucks on ebay and it was pretty nice.You could taek the brown off of it and use it.

@n2legos LOL I THINK JUST THE SAME AS YOU :D the old lego star wars sets with all those minifigs with yellow head were awesome! nıw, i cant get them anymore and i dont have any of those sets but from the pics. and stuff i think they are the best ^^

They were tan colored, not white. the clear bricks replaced the tan ones.

I think Qui-gon should have been in this set instead of obi-wan.

I like this set, but I like the 1999 version better because:
1. It came with 3 pod racers instead of 2.
2. In the 1999 version, Obi-Wan was not at the race, but Qui-Gon was, and he was included in the 1999 version, not Obi-Wan.
3. The 1999 version did not have stickers, and I like that because I HATE STICKERS!!!
4. It had more minifigures, and they had yellow heads. I like the yellow heads instead of the real skin color.
5. I kind of like old Lego Star Wars sets.
This is just my opinion.
