MTG and Duels are not the same, and thats why Duels isn't that awesome.

lol...I don't consider MTG nerdy, it's fun! Actually I have lots of friends who aren't nerdy and play MTG. It's simply a strategy game, yeah, some get hyped and spend lots of money on it, but it's fun! :P

why do people that play magic need to be called "nerds" makes me very :(...... stupid haters.

duels of the planeswalkers is pretty shit... it has some fancy graphics and all that, but no deck building, no actual card collecting and it doesnt even have all the abilities :/
it might be fun for an hour or 2, but MTG:online is actual magic on the computer, even tho it costs money to buy boosters, you start out with 1000 cards anyway so you can customise from the start
shandalar is a great game too, old as hell but easily modded and has all the good stuff in it as well, solo play only tho
