@bowriverblog yep that could be his reasoning.So as long as they are debarbed, he can't do shit.I fish the rapalas a fair amount when i am not tossing drys....most people I encounter including myself are not aware of this rule,thanks for the info much appreciated! I feel that I owe you an apology for my first harsh comment as I was not aware of this...enjoy your blog tight lines too ya!

Not sure why he did that, possibly your hooks were barbed. Alberta is "Barbless" so that could be why he made you switch out your hooks. Three pronged treble hooks are legal in Alberta. Thanks, Mike.

@bowriverblog Really i was using the same lure last summer cd9 brown down by the glenmore bridge i was approached by a fishery officer and he made me change lures because of the hooks..i wasnt too sure the regs are so unclear.Thought I would let you know.Tight lines to ya then.

@rividizd This is 20 minutes south out of Policemans Flats by boat. Very productive hole indeed. BIG FISH live in here !!!!!
