Groove Theory was an American R&B and hip hop music duo formed in New York City in 1991 when singer Amel Larrieux met rapper Bryce Wilson through a mutual friend. The two found themselves perfect for each other as both were upset with the direction their career was taking. Wilson hoped to use the group as a chance to utilize his production talents while Larrieux wanted a chance to shine in R&B.
The group received a deal with Epic Records, and in 1995, they released their self-titled debut album Groove Theory. The album features the gold-selling hit single "Tell Me" which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Miss the 90's! Hate the garbage today. No talent robot voiced artists all continually ripping off eachother with every song that comes on the radio. I'm 27 and wish I was at least 12 again to hear good music on the radio again.
