The Agusta A129 Mangusta (Mongoose) (AW129 from June 2007) is an attack helicopter manufactured by Agusta (part of AgustaWestland) of Italy. It is the first attack helicopter to be designed and produced wholly in Western Europe. A developed version, the T129, will be produced in Turkey by TAI for the Turkish Army.

  • stop to say this blasphemies , the mangusta is 100% italian , we began to produce it in 1983 , and only recently you have signed a contract with AUGUSTAWESTLAND to produce a version of it . The prototype of the new version has built in Italy by the augusta ' s engineers . You will have the autorisation to produce it , nothing more , in the same way we can produce the f 35 the apache and many others tools , but this doesn t mean that the apache or the f 35 are italians

  • this helicopters is italian not turkish and actually is being upgraded with new rafael toplite 3 sigh unit and spike fire and forget missles

  • lol, looks like a Apache and Hind combined. but still, not bad for a Italian attack heli. :)

  • @mrbones652 nope, not at all

  • somehow, the italians have made a reliable and rather advanced workhorse combat chopper, compared to overpriced apaches and tiger, these proven mangustas is a good buy!
