This was when John was at his best - before he dropped "Cougar" & before he became overtly political in his songwriting. How high did this song get into the Billboard Hot 100? I remember this LP & singles being all over the radio during the Summer & Fall of 1982. My Dad had a copy of "American Fool" on cassette - a great LP, much better than "uh-huh" in my opinion (when John started including "Mellencamp" on his LPs/CDs)!
