...NO CLASH, no point of contention, thus, no debate....SSA, being on the negative side should've lost since they did not clash with the arguments of the affirmative which is the USLS. a good negative side should have the ability to adjust their arguments to address the points raised by the affirmative. what SSA did was they just stuck to their arguments and went ahead without analyzing the points of USLS and identifying counter-arguments to clash with the affirmative.

based on their opening arguments, it seems the teams had very different takes on the proposition. for USLS their point was Economic Freedom is a better catalyst for progress than economic equality which to them is a farce. for SSA naman, they seem to have the stand that Economic Equality is an issue that needs to be addressed -- people need more economic equality, and economic freedom is in fact one of the reasons for the inequities in this world.
