Vargas es, sin duda, uno de los mejores tenotres de la actualidad y estaremos expectantes en Bogotá de su presentación el próximo mes de septiembre de 2011, cuando actuará en un recital en el Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santodomingo. De sus "rivales" actuales yo prefiero a Beczala y a Machado pero, sin dudas, Vargas es una magnífico tenor y un gran artista (es sólo cuestión de gustos)

@DavidJSGleaton His voice is very near to Domingo voice during Domingo's 30 years... Sorry if I make some mistakes but I'm not English... :)

Great Mexican tallent...it was just a matter of time cuz Mexicans are know to have tenor type voices anyways...

Excelente timbre de voz, sorprendente interpretación, para mi un buen referente como TENOR, de pocos que hay que logran tan buena tecitura, FELICITACIONES, desde Guayaquil Ecuador.

Excelente Duque de Mantua ! Ramon Vargas tiene la voz apropiada para este papel tan dificil en el Rigoletto de Verdi. Bravo maestro !

@DavidJSGleaton i totally agree, i saw vargas live in the elixer of love and he was absolutely amazing. his voice and technique and his phrasing are as close to perfection as it gets now days. however for leggiero tenors it doesnt get better than lawrence brownlee. he has it all aswell.

In my humble opion, Ramón Vargas is the only tenor today who can stand comparasion with the great tenors of the past. I'm an old timer and I am so thrilled that someone is singing with all of the attributes of the glorious past. This is not marketing; this is art! David Gleaton

Me quedo muy sorprendido, he oído decir a grandes tenores que Rigoletto es una de las Operas más dificiles, para el roll de tenor, desde el comienzo hasta el final, señor Vargas me gustaría escuchar, en su totalidad, ésta ópera, me quedaba sin respiración cuando se la oigo al gran Alfredo, hoy he sentido lo mismo. Bravo desde Gran Canaria, España.
