Nice. I'm thinking about making a bigger one run by a lawn mower engine. Not sure, though, what would be strong enough for it - plastic, fiberglass, steel? It's supposed to be for a DIY boat I'm going to put together.

I think steel plates will be the best. Its much stronger than plastic and easier to weld. Of course stainless steel

Using a lawn mower engine will be problematic, remembar that this engine (if it is 4-stroke) must work in vertical position because of the oil lubrication. I think it has also higher rotational speed than that electric engine in the movie.

It MUST have a enought big fly wheel. Mine lawn mower engine doesnt work without the blade mounted.
