1st 90 seconds of the song is my favorite. and the girls at the beach was great. but he lost me when he washed up on shore. i was like "that was a guy?" and the song at 2:50+ was great too. if i knew what he was saying maybe i would appreciate it more. all i got was "you must rise".
This song is written in a couple different languages so... yea, figuring it out isn't really what you're supposed to be doing I think. For this one, and for many SGM songs really, he seems more concerned with creating a more textured sound with his voice than with any sort of lyrical message or poetry. He has the kind of voice that he can pull it off just using it as an instrument though.
@vilane421 it's from a James Joyce novel. It's not standard english. You can look up the lyrics on google. Nils just said that he though a metal song should be written around that specific prose.
It's from "Finnegans Wake" by James Joyce...the prose is written in many different languages all at the same time, each word a pun of a pun of a pun...it's really an interesting read, so it may sound like gibberish, but it really isn't.
