@kyusho1 ok, I understand :) we use the hips movement and spinning to loose the lock then counter attack :P anyways, bunkai has no rules ;) hmm, I like the Dojo ;)

@Gwisss Hey, your right, there are a lot of skeptical people out there with a good reason. There are many people who attend one pressure point seminar, or by a dvd, and next thing you know they are promoting themselves as a great master and start doing seminars.... or videos on youtiube, and it hurts those that actually know what they're doing. There are a lot of teachers that do not know this, so they tell their students this is fake so they don't loose them as students. It's a shame.

@xXxduskexXx Hey sorry for the delayed response. If the attacker comes in with serious aggression then I have to respond with more aggregation, and do the technique at the same speed, which means not good for the uke. This is done at a slower speed so he does not get hurt.

This guy has another video of him knife hand to both sides of the neck with a kick to the calf. Its bad ass. Anyone who doubts pressure points attacks should be shown by a true master what can be accomplished. You can truly control then subdue.

@kyusho1 Anyone who is skeptical of pressure points has good reason. It takes a lot of practice to find particular pressure points on a person(and they are not always apparent on every body type). But using an acupuncture name like "triple heater 17" instead of "jaw line" "button" or just plainly "knock out point" comes off as being mystical to people who would otherwise agree.
In a world with George Dillmans, we should praise people who are skeptical rather then dogmatic.

@mvanstee Atta boy years of experience talking there. Just keep believing that, maybe some day you'll pull your head out of the sand.

It is sooooo lame to be striking acupuncture points. These do not exist at all, the entire system is based on magical thinking. Apart from the complete lack of combat effectiveness of this bullshit bunkai of course.

On my note above might I suggest you think about augmenting the nukite and striking jodan rather then chudan? It might also be nice to see these bunkai performed with more realistic aggression. Other then that nice video. Keep them coming.
knife hand?? that's not knive hand (shuto), that's spear hand (nukite)!! with shuto you hit with the side of the hand not the finger tips..
anyways, in pinan sandan the nukite represents that someone graps your wrist, then you turn around to release it, then around again with tetsui chudan and gyakuzuki...

@plowenson You're right. I do not do this kata myself. This was a question that came up during a class, what could the bunkai for this move be. It was a spur of the moment thing. He liked the answer I came up with so we videoed it for youtube. You would be surprised though how a yin type of attack as such can be effective like that. Stomach is a yang meridian and the best way to attack a yang is with a yin type of attack.... food for thought.
