Isn't the reason that everything's flipped in the gamecube version is that in all other Zelda titles (except Skyward Sword) Link is left handed so they made the wii version right handed to fit with the wii remote and because of this, they fipped the entire Map as well, actually making the gamecube version correct and the wii version flipped

They started working on Twilight Princess before the Wii hardware was complete. They only flipped everything near the end of development. It looks like all of the Wii Zelda titles from here on out will be right-handed.
