The blackmagicdesign Intensity Shuttle HDMI input works. I am using a 15ft HDMI cable, & mini HDMI male to HDMI female, from a Sony HDR-CX550v.

  • can these work for ps3 ?

  • @iiDESTROYCOD You need to buy the HDfury 3 device that will remove the HDCP from the PS3 digital signal in order to record with the Intensity shuttle. The HDfury 3 costs about $300 US and will provide a component signal output, which has no content protection. All in all it's about $600 US to record HDMI HDCP signals. I will be putting up a video about this soon.

  • @aeyst PS3's component out is always able to record without HDfury 3. HDMI is the only thing with HDCP on it. So it will work for ps3 just not in HDMI without spending big. I use my intensity pro with the ps3 in component daily. Hopefully you meant HDfury 3 will unlock HDMI signal output instead of component or it is just a waste of 300 lol.

  • @IronSightGamingTube That's good to hear.

  • can you connect to another port rather than the usb 3.0?

  • @quadsnipable This device only works with usb 3.0, watch my installation video for more details.

  • this is now available for  computers via thunderbolt!! how to the black magic website

  • Can I record HD files recorded on my PC using component or HDMI out (from PC card) to the shuttle as component or HDMI in? OR, can I transfer or PLAY my HD files and output them via HDMI or component from the shuttle into itself to caputre - or just loop it out?

  • Hi does this record from HDMI, if u input your cable/Sat box in the HDMI input will u be able to record your HD TV program

  • @aeyst maybe

you can just output the ps3 in composit component

  • sick, so i could connect my 360 to my laptop using this, open up the software it comes with and click full screen?

  • Any thoughts on s-video to an HD up-converting quality? Does it improve the quality like DVD/Blu-Ray players up-conversions?

  • using the included software, can you record yourself over what the device is capturing?

  • what about the xbox 360 does the hdmi work with it?

  • @ehti25 if you are using the blackmagic program it would be without audio so I wouldnt suggest it. Using a tv would give the audio feed so that would be the better choice. Unless you have a turtle beach or something maybe. But the quality doesn't look as good through the program until after you are done recording then you see the raw quality.
