Though it is still a mystery whether Kenya will strike oil in Isiolo, Kenyas optimism has been informed by the geographical location of the oil rich southern Sudan whose deposits reportedly extend to Kenya and Uganda. The Chinese national offshore oil company which was involved in the southern Sudan oil exploration has now sunk 15 billion U.S dollars into the well whose geological data is familiar. But as Sylvia Chebet reports in our continuing series, geologists are warning that Kenyans should only be cautiously optimistic as there is a fair chance that we might not strike the oil yet.

@magellanmax wait. is tanzania in kenya? so wot u on about? and u say IM ranting, lol u are too dumb to post videos on youtube.

@tech4156 When you take into account that there are oil fields in the surrounding countries including natural gas in Tanzania, it's hardly far fetched. Drilling for oil is a tricky process. You could end up with a dry well meanwhile just a few kilometers away is a big oil field. But keep ranting, it's amusing.
