  • I'm performing this solo for my schools solo and ensemble, and i was wondering where you got the wrist bells...

  • um i just borrowed them from somebody actually but they were just cheap ones so you could probably find them at walmart or something.

  • Are you using the Burton grip or the Musser Grip?

  • musser but i wasn't very very good at controlling it when I played this solo so it might look like its a different kind of grip

  • 1.) Finally a recording with the famous "optional wrist bells", i cant say i really like them...

2.) people need to STOP ASKING FOR SHEET MUSIC. buy it. its not that expensive. it takes composers alot of time to come up with. Most composers are not very wealthy either-support the fine arts, dont be lazy

  • I'm gonna try this one next semester. But I'm more of a Vibraphone person to be honest :D

  • im a freshma ad i have to play this as a solo looks fun

  • i have to play this next week and i just love the song.. you played it very well ;)

  • i find it sounds better if it is slower

  • You should really alternate your sticking in the descent into the roll section. It will be a lot smoother, and easier for you to play. You'll also be able to pull out those 3 occasional accents better.

Also, in addition to just smoothing out the whole section, tighten up your grip on the final chord progression before the roll section, because on a marimba, not all notes are the same size. As you go lower, the notes become wider, so you'll need to close your grip a bit when jumping chords...

  • interesant video. but 1 thing: you play only nots... you don't have heart to music, you don'y play with heart, but , video is very good

  • Just got my music for this piece in the mail today, so excited :) What kind of marimba is that, it looks just like my rosewood Adams soloist.
