I'm watching this because i just ordered the hand forged blade made my Julius Petterson off of the Ray Mears website and bought some antler to put a handle on it, thanks for your help :)

thats a nice knife man,i just got into making knives,not nearly as good as you buy im tryin,a hobby i hope to make a job ,check out my vid and give me tips fellow smiths...lol,i know how bad bone and antlers smell,its awful lol,what dit u use to tap the bone onto the tang,did u predrill or just hammer it through

@dakenetsu the bone I had was hollow so I filled the middle with expanding gorilla glue then I just hammered it doing over the tang. I use a pipe to hammer my peices down and for a couple tips I would give is after I watched your video I think you need to put more time in one knife than just wanting to make a lot of then when people see a beautiful knife they want to buy it but ur knives are nice but put more time into the handle go back to the one that has a full tang and round off the edges

@TheCarablanco that is possible but it's not as practical as just forming the handle on the original tang but at certain points in the process I have the blade fully covered in tape but I guess I could put a piece of metal on each side of the blade and then wrap it with tape but I haven't slipped up yet
