This is the second knife I made. The materials I used in the handle was red white and blue spacing material then some leather, a peace of red wood, cow bone, goat horn, and a thick peace of brass. It terned out good but I am going to be making alot more knives this is only my second one. To see my first one look up home made file knife, thank you

  • @dakenetsu the bone I had was hollow so I filled the middle with expanding gorilla glue then I just hammered it doing over the tang. I use a pipe to hammer my peices down and for a couple tips I would give is after I watched your video I think you need to put more time in one knife than just wanting to make a lot of then when people see a beautiful knife they want to buy it but ur knives are nice but put more time into the handle go back to the one that has a full tang and round off the edges

  • @usmcretired2112 thank you for the comment it's people like you that make me want to upload the videos thanks

  • @monkeysize i cut it off at the end I guess I didn't show that part

  • @thehappycamper1976 thanks and yes one of the worst smells of all time but it turns out looking beautiful

  • @TheCarablanco that is possible but it's not as practical as just forming the handle on the original tang but at certain points in the process I have the blade fully covered in tape but I guess I could put a piece of metal on each side of the blade and then wrap it with tape but I haven't slipped up yet

  • @GarrettJDB checkout my video called "making a FILE KNIFE (buffing)"
