I fought these fires in the Marysville, Buxton, Taggerty areas. Thanks for a very touching tribute to those who lost so much.

Let 2010 Australia day be a rememberence for all the Aussies that died in the Victoria Bushfires and the NSW ones :( R.I.P Fellow australians good work Fire fighters it was a long and hard battle but it got done lets hope nothing like that happens ever again. Espically with this new fire system but then the australian government arnt that good so lets find out how it works.

oh my poor poor dandenongs  but alas all my mates made out alive I was stationed overseas at the time was a desperate time just home now yes too long and didnt see the total devasation but as said before we will bounce back ya can bet your bottom dollar on that we did hearts and hats to all those who gave there all and lost thank you for your service lest we forget seems fitting

I just watched this aswell as the incredible efforts in the '03 canberra firestorm. from a volunteer firefighter in greece, to all my brothers down under, stay safe, strong, and I wish you all the best for the future.

the fire was only about 15-20km from where i live, im just so happy they got it under control when they did...who knows how many more could have been lost. R.I.P
