To fix the lazy shifts we've made a few mods the wiring harness of our Project Bluebird so we can get the trans shifting a little harder. It takes less than $20 of parts, a few wires, and a soldering iron to get the job done. Hopefully it works on the track.

  • Hey Scotty, impressive stuff there mate! Love the vids with all the explaining n all simply GR8 stuff dude!!

Mate just a quick question this thing you did..is it possible trying this on a 4L60E transmission..yes its a 4 speed heck of a lazy automatic on my hard worked VT ..cheers

  • @robinrb2

I haven't heard of it on a 4L60E but they do sell shift controllers for those or some models do allow for modification within the ECU, but I'm not sure VT is one of them, unless you have a Gen-III

  • @blownhemi BTW you rule, I love it how you ran the car with just the headers on another video HAHA AWESOME DOESNT BEGIN TO DESCRIBE! me and a mate always take his exhaust off his supra back from the cat, he made a kool high flow cat (just rip out the shit from inside it lol) :D

  • Is that a print off from Fordmods.com ? lol just recongnised the wadecams banner :D

  • @blownhemi Yes, there are shift kits by B&M sold on ebay n few tuning shops around..not sure how good they are, hence trying to find out whether I could try your trick through the ecu..as very recently I decided to tune up the trans and the diff..maybe I'll give those shift kits a go. But mate how your go in changing the ratio for the diff in those VT's(its a six)..cheers
