I'm a Filipino and I still see a whole lot of pinoys cringing at the sight of balut. Anyway, it's a moot point since a lot of other Asian countries serve balut and I'm willing to bet my life that not everyone in those countries would enjoy eating balut. So your "if it's not your country" argument isn't valid.
Also, Andrew never struck me as being arrogant and I've watched a lot of bizarre foods episodes. In fact, he's very respectful of foreign peoples' customs.

It's only 'bizzare' if it's not your country. You should have named this Ethnic or Cultural Foods you arrogant American tourist.
Just some FYI, looking at the inside of eggs with a light is called Candling and it's done all over the world to judge an eggs Grade.

The serial killer Albert Fish got a taste for humans in China cause they were drivin into a state of poorness not unlike the great depression in america. Chinese would sell their own childrens flesh, and Albert Fish developed a taste for fatty buttocks of children. I wonder if the chef would try sonmething like THAT! =P
