Saturday Morning at the Convention in St. Louis, everybody's still tired, then you walk into one of the small side rooms and find Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member Billy Robinson practicing/playing and having fun. He's going through "Danny Boy" and then switching over to "Lady Be Good" (with Buck Grantham on guitar). If you want to know what a bar slant is, watch this! Enjoy!

  • This guy has to be one of the masters of those backward/forward slants! Age has stolen my agility. but not my abiding love of the steel guitar! (Take a look, folks! No pedals!)

  • Wow.Wonderful stuff. that Buck Grantham is very tasteful player too

  • denvereddennis has shared a video with you on YouTube:

  • *instead of, oops typo

  • wow this guy is awesome! I wish more people my age would appreciate this music (late 20's) then they would chill out a bit more instead od being obsessed with shit that didn't even matter

  • :-)

  • Oh, my! That was a good answer! I'll try it. TR

  • Try keeping it 'cool' - it works for milk and meat! :-)

  • If a note decays too much, will it turn rotten? (mine do) TR

  • You're welcome! Same set up is used on a Pedal Steel. :-)
