he cant strafe with 16 fps, so the speed is up, he also recorded with fraps or something, thats why is fps is at 16.

16FPS is just the video recording FPS. Gameplay is 125fps.

I'll take this as a compliment, all done in standard vq3. It may seem faster since the view is narrowed resolution to make it smaller in size.
Only takes two jumps to get 600+ if I recall correctly. I made this video a long time ago before Quake 4 when defrag was a bit more popular. I wish I had a video to watch like this back then to help see which gaps are actually possible on vq3.

They are the largest gaps to jump across? youre not looking hard enough

It depends by what means. Largest possible by 1-3 hops. Of course not with other means. I am more the physical strafing and other hop techniques rather than rocket jumping and so forth.
Of course you could make a custom map with larger gaps, but this is OSP and standard maps.
Basically the OSP one on VQ3 can only be done with 1/2% ups discrepency.
I mainly do tricks on the hl engine, like on NS. I had no doubt I would get posts like this.
