  • When we do get it England looks so beautiful in the snow :)

  • I live in Michigan, and my school has adopted a "screw snow" policy, apparently. Even if there's ice on the roads, as long as the buses can make it to the school, it's not closed. It seems no matter how much snow we have, my school is the only one in the area that isn't closed.

  • well i'm from canada, toronto and surprisely it hasnt snow alot this year. whitch isn't a good thing considering the olympics is gunna be here :) well not here, vancouver... but still :)

  • well here in winnipeg canada we canadians don't get a day off a school

when It's winter or snowing lots. we just go about are day no matter what stands in are way.

  • you went to school and they sent you home. joe you are so adicted to it.

  • ha, our school has never ever closed cz of snow :(

and btw, i spent that video trying to figure where your accent is from :P

  • Well the whether for cast said we may get ip to 10 or 12 inches of snow, when when it ices over it will be a suicide mission in a car and just plain dangerous on foot

  • yes my school shut last lesson 10 minutes in. Every other school went home at 10 or 11 my school has the best exam results in my area so they say learning comes first.

  • This is England? Not New England, right?

OK, I take it all back. I concede: you have snow. That was as pretty a postcard as anything I've seen there near the end.

The irony? It's colder here in the American South than it is there; by a lot!

  • I remember 1979 when I had to get the bus 16 miles to work and we still got through despite 3ft of snow. When the council ran out of grit/salt, the sent guys out with shovels. Even the army got involved in clearing the snow and digging out sheep. The schools, along with most other places, remained open throughout. So, I'm amazed that Britain today grinds to a halt when we get just a couple of inches.
