dude i have a valve Marshall MA100h ...it have a booster...so i can have a pretty nice heavy metal/ almost thrash distorsion but i need some extra to have that killer palmute sound that im looking for.... if i combine that with a TS-9 i be able to get that thrash metal tone that im looking for ?
I dont want to buy a distorsion pedal. ( i was thinking in a metal muff nano )..but..i feel that its not right with a marshall head...
what are your recomendations ?

I like to put a Demeter Compulator optical compression pedal in front of the tube screamer. It's like magical tone juice. Everything sounds great, and somehow, feels better.
Makes everything simultaneously dirtier, and cleaner.

you're right on with your "setting your amps at 12 oclock as the starting point". I set every amp, usually, the same. Bass 12, mid-9, treble 12, presence 12.
