The wonderful UK/USA indiefolk duo Rue Royale perform the track U.F.O from their selftitled 2008 debut album, live in the Joriskerk in Venlo (The Netherlands). Dutch band The Black Atlantic accompany them, resulting in the song becoming even more wonderful that it initially was.
Recorded: December 14, 2011

@rueroyaletheband Excellent would love to get this MP3 recording & wud love u to re-record it in studio conditions with Black Atlantic. U should do a double EP release with them. 2 EPs - 1 a Rue Royale release (2 songs of yours) , 1 a Black Atlantic release (2 songs of theirs), 3 songs on each EP each consisting of 1 brand new song which u MUST write together as a joint effort song (this appears on each EP). U back them on their 2, they back u on yours (UFO being one of them)

This song grows & grows & grows. From the very 1st time I heard the song on the Rue Royale The Search For Where To Go (EP) it stood out, it grabbed you by the heart & dug deep into the soul. A great song can stand the test of time, it can mature via performances, or can sadly sometimes become diluted & weaken the song. U.F.O. stands aloft as 1 of the best songs EVER written (in my opinion) & it finds corners of the heart & soul that it never found the 1st time.

Great that it's on video, better than the original I think !

I loved the austere sound of the original, but the layered percussion and addition of the bass player really increases the gravitas of this song.
