I was in this concert. We waited 6 hours on Silvester 1992 with -15°C to come in to the standing places. It was one of his best concert in Berlin (together with Mussorgsky-Programm): with an unbelievable Till Eulenspiegel, Rosenkavalier Terzetto with Fleming and Argerich and Strauss Burleske for piano and orch. I missed the TV broadcasting so thank you so much for posting it!

Claudio Abbado (Italy) conducts the world's best orchestra (Germany), lead by Concertmaster Toru Yasunaga (Japan). That reminds me of those old days when we formed a tripartite alliance. We were all defeated by the Allies, but now we all prosper. God bless our nations!

@TheCarnivorousWay orchestral pieces live are totally different than recording. And playing is totally different from listening.

@latraviata69 U r probably a great fan of classics to wait for 6 hours outside at the cold. IMO no man worth waiting for so long. // I've seen Abbado live in Spb, Russia with gmjo - it was brilliant, but I would never torture myself with waitin' like this just to attend his concert.
