I Love this song because it brings a lot of memories where i used to live in Tondo, Manila...Kalesa is very unique form public transportation in the Philippines....The songs is truly old but it continously very popular to balikbayan...Let's go home and ride the Kalesa again in Luneta and Intramorus ( did I spell it Right?) I created the video and put the video together

Is Sylvia La Torre still alive? I still remember her from my pre-pubescent years in Manila!! She was pretty and has a great voice (she was classically-trained, I understand)!! She should have been given a National Artist Award or something for bringing joy to the hearts of millions of Filipinos many years ago!!!!

sylvia used to be the singing voice of all the big stars in the 50s. Her voice is so distinct you can easily tell if she is the one singing.She sang for gloria as well as nida, both from different studios. That's how in demand she was.
