Today's music is dead.

Better than anything recorded in this century

@fuxxx21 Music definitely peeked in the 60's & 70's. It seem that today the well is basically dry and you need to look back to find great music like this song.

My heart is at the mercy of this song, it brings back so many memories. Real deep songs from the past still move me! Old School in the house, 1961, I am still young...yaaa!

@leaningright252 - Yes, it does and I'm not sure why because it really has an upbeat tempo, etc., but for some reason, it does bring a tear to my eye. I thought I was the only one who felt that way about this song.

One of the best songs Stevie ever did and I must admit the Andantes did an excellent backing vocals on this, I have to admit that. Lol xx

@sonwhip i can only think of two people who perform on stage with a red bandana and a guitar..... the boss or willie nelson.

@mckt007 .... It hurts :(

Funny comparing older music withy newer music and searching for theories. The simple fact is, there was more talent in those days. This song for example is a master stroke. The reason music suffers today is because most music is bought by teenage girls who only care what the lead singer looks likes and hip hop/rap bought by middle-class white teenagers trying to look hard to they can get sex. Therefore, music producers see no need to captivate the general public with brilliant songs, only image.
