@Unreal495 The problem is that the software don't handle multi-cores yet, you could try typing this on the console: threading.numthreads = 4...
-
How do you manage to get no leaks with the water? my stuff leaks all over the place... even through solid objects
-
@Unreal495 Well, that depends on what 'contact' really means, computers are a lot more powerful than people think ;). And It is not completely true about the amount of collision checks, because phun probably uses some form of space partitioning (like quad trees.)

i believe you guys have the "incompressivble fluid" box checked. my laptop can only run about 1500 awter partcicles when it is, but about 3000 when it isn't

Phun doesn't utilize the GPU (or GPGPU), and only uses a single core.
I have a 4.2 GHz Core i7 and water still makes it crawl.

I think the main problem is that it operates veryexponential when u use water...
For Ex.:
When u have 5 Drops and 1 Drop falls on them the Computer only has to handle maybe 20 different Contacts...
When u have 2500 Drops and 1 falls into them
the computer have to handle maybe different 100000 contacts...
Its a big chain reaction... I think not on of the best computer can handle <10000 Drops

Very well done, Unreal. Your designs are quite interesting.
