In this video, Dr. Paola Subacchi, Research Director of International Economics at Chatham House, surveys the preparations taken by the G8 L'Aquila summit to balance ongoing interests of an economic-focused G20 for crisis response and a dualistic G2 of major powers. While the G20 has continued much of its momentum from London, it is focused more on the next meeting in Pittsburgh. And, in respect to a G2 of US and China, Dr. Subacchi notes that L'Aquila will offer an interesting point in which to observe the natural dialogue that could emerge between these two poles.
