  • Sorry, someoneyoulove. JPL did not provide a legend, but Reds are Positive Anomalies (Warm/Increased Sea Surface Height) and Blues are Negative (Cool/Decreased Sea Surface Height). The white that shows up in the eastern equatorial Pacific during the 1997/98 El Nino is a positive anomaly that's so high it's off the scale.

  • Nice job. Can you add a legend in the video description stating what each color represents? Are blue/purple lower or higher than red/white?
