Lori Baugh Littlejohns

Building bridges between health promotion and social sustainability: An analysis of municipal policies in Western Canada.

Municipal governments across Canada are developing and implementing policy frameworks to guide sustainable development. There is much refinement in the literature regarding environmental and economic sustainability, but this is not the case for social sustainability. Ms. Baugh Littlejohns will look through a health promotion lens at social sustainability, explore the similarities and distinctions between these approaches, and determine what bridges could be built to "join up" efforts.
