god does not exist. Man created god. Prayer does not work (as there is no god to pray to) and this was proven scientifically. The Harvard prayer experiment was a scientific study to qualify and quantity the effects (if any) of prayer to affect people. Not only did prayer not help the patients, those that were told they were being prayed for experienced more complications. This is documented. Look it up for yourself

i don't believe that "God put all the pieces in place for man's fall". the bottom line is that God created man so that we would CHOOSE to follow Him. we are given free will and that is how sin entered the world, which, in turn, brought suffering.

God creates Earth, God puts all the pieces in place for man's fall, God continually smites and punishes His creation.

Since God's the guy who introduced death and suffering to us (because our great-great- ... -grandparents ate an apple) Jesus is saving us from God, and since Jesus == God, He is saving us from ourselves. Simple, no?

But it's for our own good! Not...

If God is all-powerful, then God could make a universe in which our suffering (and his endless smiting) is unnecessary.
