Yes, wot a sad-o ! Top Of The Pops showed this in the '90's. I seem to remember it being a rehearsal for the evening gig. Another from my delapitated tape ! Personally, this is one of my all-time favorite def leppard tracks.

Joe Elliot - Vocals
Rick Savage - Bass
Rick Allen - Drums
Phil Collen - Guitar
Vivian Campbell - Guitar.

  • For those who DON'T know, Mr Rick Allen (drummer) was involved in a serious car crash during the making if the "hysteria" album. I believe the car he was driving was over-taking , an accident occured, and his arm was "separated" from his body by his seatbelt !(OUCH!) Personally, i think he's done rather well to bounce back, don't u?

  • Def Leppard has bounced back after MANY tragedies! Rick Allen is a great drummer and a great person.

PS Look at the original poster's name--Miley as in Miley Cyrus. What can you expect?

  • Yes, ur quite right 7six5four3two1, no-one could or should forget the legend that was and is "Steve Clark".(R.I.P). I honestly believe that some people genuinley aren't aware that some bands have not had a "fortunate" past. i was not meaning to cause offence or forgetting any-one in Def leppards career.

  • Slang is Def Leppard's best album. Yes, Hysteria is a classic and brilliant, but Slang was something special. Too bad the "fans" turned their backs on the band back then.

  • I'm only 19, but I DO know the bands 30 year history. I've seen them 21 times in concert...needless to say I'm a die hard fan. I have all of their records, and the ones put out on LP's, yeah, I got them too!! Most of them are signed, framed and on my wall. I do play them, but very, very, very carefully. I also have a Jackson guitar painted up like Phil's black crackle from the Historia tour...lol...

  • Thank Gawd this was Top of the Pops, it's completely playback. I hate it when they don't sing and play..

  • This song needs more cowbell!!

  • @marshjvm - I've got all the albums, and Slang was a shift. At least it was something different, and not bloody "Lets get rocked" where they tried to re-make their past. T

  • This is a great song from Vivian. That middle bit always stirs my soul. Loved it from the first second I heard it.

  • Interesting video. They are lip-syncing for the show. I think they thought it a necessary evil. Been a fan for 30 years. Although Slang took some getting used to for me it is just another side of the creative coin. Love it for what it is. No need to compare.

  • @tykettoms

You must be high! This is dogshit & doesn't even hold a candle to Pyromania or Hysteria. This sounds like a Collective Soul throw away. Def Leppard lost its drive & focus & went completely gay with this one.

No wonder it was their first album to fail to achieve platinum sales in the US.

  • @Rokket I think that charge came after the accident, but I don't think one bad incident makes you a bad guy. On a different note, I think I was at this show. Pine Know (now DTE) is an awesome place to see Def Leppard.

  • i'm the one who turns you on

  • good, very good

  • @globalpainindearris ...in the early days was also charged with beating his girlfriend, karma perhaps losing that arm.....a really nice guy? I wonder.
