Thracians was an ancient tribe relative to Greeks.Many centuries after (7th century AC) Bulgarians came to the area of Thrace and now they want stronger roots so the say that Thracians was theirs ancestors.However Thracians were all speaking Greek from 7th century BC. Something like that is about Macedonians too, ancient Macedonians were Greeks and they were speaking and writing greek and nowadays some Slavs want roots to they can be a nation so they say that they are descendant of Macedonians
