I just zoomed like you normally would with a picture. :)

oh... I didn't know you could zoom in during a video. is it a digital zoom? or optical...?

It's a 4x optical zoom. Though it says 4x, it actually went up to around 6.4x when I took this video. Of course, quality will start to deteriorate by then, and the batteries in the camera will be sucked dry. LOL.

If you want a better zoom, maybe you should try the A720 IS. It's a little more expensive and bulkier, but it's a 6x optical zoom.
