Joey's issues could have been the face value inspiration - but what a song on LIFE in general!!

RIP Pete!!

What a beautiful soulful song. Such a waste that both these gifte artists died the way they did. Ham was yet another member of the 27 club - by just three days.

People who do not like and respect the genius of Badfinger are people who I do not wish to know.

Pete wrote this for Joey Molland cuz Molland was acting like a little child when he wasn't getting the attention he thought he should.
It was a nice a gesture from Pete who was the true talent of the 2.

@RCN72 It related to Pete being asked to play the duet of "Here Comes The Sun" with George Harrison onstage at the Bangladesh concert, thus the lyric "Any day, the sun could shine on you..." and "... take it all, I don't need it at all." In the great Badfinger book, according to Pete's girlfriend and another friend, Joey was outwardly jealous and kept throwing digs at Pete. Pete was obviously a humble guy. Ever heard "Apple Of my Eye"? Astounding lyrics about the Bealtes.
