Lee Pardini (Keyboard)
Noriyuki "Ken" Okada (Bass)
Yuichi Hirakawa (Drums)

Recorded live on Feb 3, 2009 at Sumika, Los Altos, CA

"All of You" written by Cole Porter

On Feb 3 we had Yuichi Hirakawa, a wonderful guest drummer from New York City. We played this tune in the middle of the set when we were just nicely warmed up. As you can see, Yuichi's steady jazz groove provided an awesome swingy feel to the whole band. Great solo from Lee as well! This is definitely my favorite recording from that night!

  • Bass sounds super cool...what kind is it?

  • Thanks! The bass itself is a German bass called Alfred Meyer (built/bought in 1993.) It is equipped with a Realist pickup and also I mic'ed the bass, so the sound is a mix of line and mic.

  • I am familiar with Meyer basses...quality instruments and you are very fine player. Great feel, tone, style and vibe. Keep it up, man. Makes me want to switch out my Full Circle fishman for that Realist! :) Oh, and to have your chops, too.

  • Thanks very much for the compliment!! :-)

  • Wow, I noticed this video is in stereo even with normal mode. Nice job, YouTube!

  • What a find! Just looking for a few versions of this tune and I chanced upon your channel. Great playing from the whole ensemble, Noriyuki. I agree that Lee just cleans up here. Also loving the clips with Frank Sumares.
