Got The Feelin' Dave Pike Set. Originally released in 1969.... reissued on Wagram in 1998. This is taken from the 1998 vinyl LP, it is also available on CD but is not easy to track down.

Have been in touch with Dave's wife through a myspace page I started http://www.myspace.com/davepikeset as there was no fansite around at the time sadly.

Picked this LP up in a record store in Vancouver back in 98. Occasionally drop it into DJ sets and sounds nearly as good as Mathar over a decent soundsystem.

  • dope Dave does it vibra-stylee

  • then again, a lot of james brown songs from that era sound similar

  • oh, ok then, I didn't see that it was a cover. I dont know the actual names of many james brown songs, i just know them by ear. no wonder it sounded so close, especially the guitar riff that mimics the "baby baby baby" vocal part

  • Umm ...this is a James Brown tune - hence the title, not to mention the credits shown in the video.

  • i like dave pike, but this is too blatant of a james brown ripoff

  • funky shit very hibba
