I was at the University of Chicago in 1992 and partied with a few guys. We came from different parts of the country, had different family experiences, and had extremely diverse musical interests across rap/hip-hop, classic rock, and techno underground. The only thing we agreed on was that SP was transcendent. What a privilege to have seen them 10+ times and in 1 week in LA at the Wiltern.

SMILEY!!!!!! love it to death!! billy is the only true thing musical people should worship praise and listen to, he is just knows how to make unbelievbly good songs sometimes i think that its too good for any1s ears to hear like gods music or somethin, he is such a godamn legend it makes me sick people listen to what they listen to today is just copycats of older tunes and they get money and credit for puttin 1 little beat in it to change it and songs are so shallow its like listening to dirt

Adore was different and enjoyable, but compared to Gish, Siamese Dream, or Mellon Collie it was just over synthesized noise ( that's disregarding the heavy piano songs "Crestfallen, for martha, and blank page" ). Without Chamberline on drums the album felt like a different band all together.
