Joan Campbell created a successful business as an executive recruiter after she realized she had to support her children post-divorce. Always an athletic person, she trekked 512 miles across Spain at age 65 and rows at the Head of the Charles, the largest rowing event in the country. She participates in the Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement where she keeps her brain stimulated with courses like the essays of Montaigne in French.
