  • OMGoodness praise God almighty!

  • It is being reported on French TV, but the rescue team is the team from Fairfax, VA (you can see his Flag on his back as he puts Dan in the truck). I was in Haiti in Nov of 2008 and they shared the hotel with me as they worked to pull out survivors of the Petonville school collapse. There was also a french rescue team working at the Hotel Montana.

  • I loved the book unshaken, which I actually found on accident- an accident planned by God. This is truly inspiring. Is there any way of getting English subtitles?

  • I read he applied a tourniquet and the rescue took 65 hours. Did they have to amputate a limb or something?

  • the same day i was on my way over there and it happened i lost all my thing she

  • I don't understand why you would thank "god" for his rescue, did god dig him out of the ruble? It could of been an atheist, you know.

Does your imaginary friend only save people by a democratic process of prayers? Whoever gets the most, lives?

About 200,000 people were crushed to death and your thankful "god" spared one person you know...?

If science was taught more, people wouldn't suffer such tragedies. Get off your knees and stop kissing your imaginary friends ass

  • Agree with dixonblog. Similar to the so-called "miracle on the Hudson"--that was no miracle, it was an experienced and competent pilot.

Dan Wooley used his iPhone app on First Aid to treat himself and to learn how to survive his injuries. He set his alarm for every 20 minutes so that he wouldn't fall asleep for too long and go into shock.

  • Respectfully, dixonblog, I was one of many who were praying specifically for Dan Wooley. So when he was found and rescued, I had to thank God, too. Without God, this tragedy would have still happened. I choose to believe in something bigger than me in all this. It has nothing to do with you. So you give US a break!

  • @jrogerdavis the French did the job, the American recue team came after, the French found victims, to help. It doesn't matter anyway who saved who as long as the good job was done. American or French they are heroes

  • Mr. Woolley survived because he was clever and resourceful. There is nothing supernatural about an earthquake, or a man surviving 3 days in a collapsed building.

For those who call this a miracle from G*d, what do you say about the 70,000+ people killed in this quake? Was it the Devil's work? Was G*d taking a snooze? Was G*d killing the babies and turning other babies into orphans? Give us all a break.

  • I will set aside my usual French jokes out of respect.
